Ghost World 2026
Taking its name from the film made in 2001, this final scene summarises the isolated female agency, the private inner life of creative women and portrays how it is experienced when put into practice. It is not listened to and it is often tarnished, usually by men who look like that

Eleven Kinds of Loneliness, 2026
Continuing from the theme of superficial scenes of monotony, this piece takes its title from the novel by Richard Yates. The idea originally stemmed from reading Jen Beagin’s novels and her use of female agency in privacy made me think of a dollhouse. Women and dollhouses are linked in many ways, but for this piece it is in the context of picking up things and placing them elsewhere, regardless of emotion or purpose.

Plastics, 2026
Inspired by the architecture of the mid-century the first print in the series Conflict of Interests is titled Plastics taken from the film The Graduate when Benjamin is told by his parents friend that plastics will be the future. The monotonous tone of film and novel is what I wanted to capture with this piece.

Everson by Soller, 2025
Inspired by the brutalist yet futuristic glow of 20th century architecture this piece is based on the Everson museum in NYC. The isolation of colour and range of textures aim to steer the viewer through the piece, similar to a tour guide in a museum.

4AM/PM, 2025
As a part of the debut exhibition of Lucy Morris titled Conflict of Interests,
“4AM/PM shows the duality of dawn/dusk and how temporary moments can be. The room is inspired by Anais Nin’s home in LA. Nin was most notable for her relationship with writer Henry Miller, their duality and tension is something I’ve tried to capture in the work.” - Morris
